iStreamPlanet broke new ground in 2010 when they were chosen by NBC as the managed broadcast provider for the Vancouver Olympics. iStreamPlanet was brought on board to solve for never before encountered complexities centered on managing the live video workflow for 28 concurrent HD video feeds covering more than 300 events. By the end of the event iStreamPlanet acquired, managed and delivered nearly 5000 hours of high definition Olympic coverage for NBC and CTV (Canada TV) to 24 million unique visitors.
Following on the successful collaboration on the Vancouver Olympics, Intel (NASAQ: INTL) reinforced their commitment to high quality, high performance video leading iStreamPlanet’s Series A funding In May of 2011.

In 2012 Turner Broadcasting joined the round as well as Interxion Holding (NYSE: INXN).

iStreamPlanet and Interxion collaborated to build out iStreamPlanet’s European broadcast operations center inside Interxion’s London Data Center media hub enabling content owners and distributors to securely digitize, publish and monetize their media assets. The partnership with Interxion provides iStreamPlanet access to their 28 data centers in 11 countries providing an efficient way to deliver content throughout Europe and back to the United States.
In the past year iStreamPlanet has managed over 250 live events, streaming over 12,000 hours of high quality video.
