Founded in 2000 as a startup streaming weddings from A Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, iStreamPlanet is now a robust media company streaming for fans at mass scale. iStreamPlanet is a subsidiary of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., with headquarters in Las Vegas and a product development center in Seattle.
Mio Babic founded iStreamPlanet in 2000 and has brought the company to the forefront of the industry, leading the team in architecting, designing, and implementing video workflow solutions to meet the needs of premium content customers. Mio is recognized as a pioneer in digital media and speaks frequently at industry events including the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the International Broadcasting Association (IBC), Streaming Media East and West, and more.
Mio has driven many firsts for the industry including the first implementation of digital rights management (DRM), the first live, multi-camera webcast, the first delivery of over-the-top 60 Hz content, and the first live streaming of the Super Bowl.
Mio holds degrees in Finance and Economics from Montana State University.
Jared Wray is a cloud services pioneer and entrepreneur with nearly 20 years’ experience building technology companies and teams. As CTO of iStreamPlanet, Jared guides our technology strategy and oversees all product and development teams.
Prior to iStreamPlanet, Jared co-founded Fons, a scheduling and billing platform for business owners, and founded Tier 3, an industry-recognized cloud services provider later acquired by CenturyLink. Post-acquisition at CenturyLink, Jared held the SVP Platform role where he introduced agile software development and reinvigorated the company’s engineering core.
Ron McQuate is responsible for all financial aspects of our business including financial strategy and planning. Ron’s experience spans more than 20 years leading sports and entertainment organizations.
Prior to iStreamPlanet, Ron spent seven years as the Chief Financial Officer of the Pac-12. Ron’s extensive experience includes executive financial positions with organizations including the Sony Ericsson WTA tour, the Soccer, Europe, and Events Divisions of AEG, and the Cleveland Indians.
Ron earned his BSBA in Accounting from the University of Dayton.
