Founded in 2000 as a startup streaming weddings from A Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, iStreamPlanet is now a robust media company streaming for fans at mass scale. iStreamPlanet is a subsidiary of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. and is headquartered in Seattle, Washington.
As General Manager and Vice President of iStreamPlanet, Jim brings over 25 years of leadership experience and is responsible for the strategic and tactical execution of iStreamPlanet’s overall success. Jim believes people are iStreamPlanet’s most valuable asset and works tirelessly to reinforce that in iStreamPlanet’s culture. Jim’s leadership and engineering background is extensive, and he is a well-respected expert in both agile software development methodologies and test-driven development. The author of multiple technical books and the lead of open source development for NUnit V2, Jim is passionate about contributing to the larger technology community. He is known for transforming engineering practices into incremental delivery and continuous deployment powerhouses.
Prior to iStreamPlanet, Jim was the SVP of Engineering at Conga. Jim also served as the VP of Cloud Development at CenturyLink, after his company Tier 3 was acquired by the major telecom. He spent many years as a Director of Development at Microsoft.
Ron McQuate is responsible for all financial aspects of our business including financial strategy and planning. Ron’s experience spans more than 20 years leading sports and entertainment organizations.
Prior to iStreamPlanet, Ron spent seven years as the Chief Financial Officer of the Pac-12. Ron’s extensive experience includes executive financial positions with organizations including the Sony Ericsson WTA tour, the Soccer, Europe, and Events Divisions of AEG, and the Cleveland Indians.
Ron earned his BSBA in Accounting from the University of Dayton.
As Vice President of Professional Services & Business Development at iStreamPlanet, Chris leads cross functional teams that includes engineers, solution architects, and client account managers. Chris has over 17 years of experience leading professional services organizations and strives to ensure our customers maximize the value of their iStreamplanet solutions. Chris is passionate about delighting our customers with great video streaming experiences and delivering high quality, reliable solutions.
Chris’ extensive professional services leadership experience includes delivering on strategic initiatives for premier companies in their sectors, representing manufacturing, grocery, retail, and technology.
As the Vice President of Product Marketing at iStreamPlanet, Natasha is obsessed with translating iStreamPlanet’s deep technical expertise into customer value. Natasha brings a demonstrated track record of success in cross functional leadership roles specializing in product management and marketing disciplines as well as helping companies scale and establish operational excellence. She is passionate about creating a culture where people are excited to come to work everyday, and strive to constantly delight each other and our customers.
Prior to joining iStreamPlanet, Natasha worked at Conga and helped grow the business from 25MM ARR to 125MM ARR in under five years. She previously worked in the financial services industry for a Business Process Outsourcer and implemented numerous operational efficiencies across multiple lines of business. Natasha began her career on Wall Street as a Quantitative Analyst and attributes data and analytics as key to her success and methodologies. She also believes you should never stop learning and holds certifications from Salesforce, Pragmatic Marketing, and eCornell.
As the Senior Director of Core Services at iStreamplanet, Dana leads teams focused on Product, Networking, Infrastructure, Security, Customer Success, Employee Experience and Candidate Experience. Dana brings a vast array of experience from many different roles and organizations across multiple business lines. She is passionate about products, projects, programs and people that drive high tech innovations.
Prior to joining iStreamPlanet, Dana served as a Security and Compliance Program Manager for ForgeRock. She previously was a Portfolio Manager at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory leading up Product and Application delivery for the National Labs Operational Support Organization. She has led Product and Program teams for CenturyLink and startups. She helped lead transformation in a Global Construction organization from on-prem Infrastructure and Application delivery to cloud and cloud native applications.
Dana spends her volunteer time focused on helping women and people who identify as women get involved in STEM.
As the Senior Director of Engineering at iStreamPlanet, Josh leverages nearly a decade of experience working on media encoding, packaging, delivery, and security to help make iStreamPlanet an industry-leader in live streaming technology. Josh loves solving hard, real-world video problems for customers.
Previous to iStreamPlanet, Josh managed the Media Platform engineering team at Twitter, where he led the development for backend services that let you watch live sports, news, and entertainment on Twitter, as well as infrastructure allowing the tweeting of GIF's, images, and videos. Before that, he managed video encoding for Amazon Video, where he launched features including scalable cloud transcode, caption and subtitle support, video for the Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire TV, adaptive bitrate streaming (with Smooth Streaming, MPEG-DASH, and HTTP Live Streaming), UHD streaming, and the industry's first HDR streaming offering.
